Ibanez is just an amazing brand in general, there are some iconic guitars especially from the shred era, but beyond that they make really affordable, quality guitars. I wish their pickups were a little better on their budget guitars but other than that the build quality is always amazing.

My first Ibanez, I was 13/14ish it was the 80s and I was a big Steve Via fan. Learned a few riffs and maybe 8 partial songs then a few months later I traded the guitar and some cash for a motorcycle and got my permit to drive it and guitar playing was over.

Ibanez makes a ton of fantastic acoustics too.

I love P90s and hollow body guitars. I have looked at one of these with some degree of lust. Not because I need it, but because they are cool. But I already have a D'Angelico and a Backlund Rockerbox with P90s, no empty hooks.

(I am not a rock music fan) But single coil guitars are more “Soft” to me so not humbucker guitars for sure

Dude, Hendrix did a lot of great stuff, invented and all, but he was at best a mediocre guitar player,.. the skill era came later, and somewhat thanks to Hendrix opening by moving the focus on a single guitar player in a bend

He has also kind of erm committed as in 80ties more the mathematic shredder in Europe called but his performance with his band at EMG more feeling in it. The lady luckily he has as sidekick plays more that scale down style. .Nita Strauss has it more with feel. And erm I like that green one of her Signatures. Well mexican fenders were different in the 90s..ceramic pickups instead of alnico..the quality is so much better

When I was young everyone aspired to owning a Strat. That was the Holy Grail of guitars (anyone remember Wayne's World?). So that's what I've played on and off most of my life. But.......I'm a recent Tele convert. I picked up a used Tele Squier and I CAN'T PUT THE THING DOWN.

I own a THR30 and I really like it for its versatility and simplicity. The built-in speakers lack some bottom end, so it sounds a little bit thin. And I have some wishes for the next generation of THRs like a looper, foot switch or an effects loop. But overall this is still my favorite practice amp on the market. And it‘s already an iconic design

What I love most about Martin is those who own them at open-mic gigs. The look on their faces when they learn that I am playing a sub-$100 "Martin Smith" 🤣😂. I detest those poxy piezo transducers and so I grabbed a sub $5.00 sound-hole pickup. People in the audience who know nothing about guitar brands, without fail, prefer my sound 🤣😂 The BS brainwashing is very-much alive and well in this industry.

Tubes are a pain in the butt. I hope we don't have to be saddled with that old technology forever. I've heard tube amps that have been way more buzzy and harsh than a Katana. I think eventually, sold state + software amps will completely replace tube amps for professionals. Only hobbyists will have tube amps. Just like hobbyists still have tube amps for their turntables.

The main reason I now use Virtual Amps (specifically S-Gear which is incredible) is because I mostly record. When you dial in a tone on a virtual amp, you hear it exactly how it's gonna sound in a mix. With a real amp, a microphone, mic positioning, room acoustics, etc, it's a lot more complex to get a result that perhaps won't be as good. I love the whole setting up a mic, putting it in front of an amp, etc. It's exciting. But the trade-off is lack of speed, more expensive and harder to get good results.
